Quiz and Exam Accommodations

To Whom I may Concern, I hope you are doing well today. A while back I sent a Letter of Accommodations regarding extra time on quizzes and exam. It would be best if I took the quizzes at the office of disabilities given I have another class after this one. In order to make a proper request I do need a specific time frame the quizzes are happening, for example, 9:00-9:50 am. Hi Abhiram, I hope you get well soon. Answers below: 1. pm1_sp2023_staff(a)email.rutgers.edu<mailto:pm1_sp2023_staff@email.rutgers.edu> is the staff mailing list. Post here for questions to the TAs and me. They should be able to help you. 2. Visual studio code supports both but you may choose the IDE of your choice. I use https://code.visualstudio.com/ and gcc on mac. 3. Attendance is required. Lab exercises are posted in the beginning of class. Completion is done on pen&paper/whiteboard/blackboard. The TA checks it and takes attendance. Please keep up via canvas. I apologize for not contacting you earlier about my absence. I have submitted a self reporting absence form because I was discharged from the hospital recently and had to stay at home this week. I contacted the dean office and all they said was to self report my absence to verify that my absence be excused for the week. I will be back Monday of next week most likely. As a result I was not able to attend lectures last week or this week, so I had a few questions. 1) How can I get in contact with my recitation TA so I can tell them that I am not going to be in this week's recitation and how can I make up the assignment? I was not able to find the TA I had for my recitation section on canvas. 2) Do I need to install anything to compile C or C++ for this class, and if so how can I go about doing that? Is there software I can install that compiles both C and C++ or will I need two different programs that compile both individually? (I am using Windows 11) 3) How do recitations work? I have just received notice that you planned to dissolve Lab Sections 3 and 6 due to uneven distribution in students attending. This presents some conflict in scheduling for me as the 4 remaining time slots all conflict with a rather inflexible work schedule for my job. I was wondering if there were any other available options that would allow me to maintain my enrollment in your course for the Semester. Thank you for your consideration.

Section Changed an Attendance

Good Morning, I have changed my section from Section 6 to Section 2 this morning because it was dissolved. I am emailing you today because I want to know what I missed and I'm not sure if attendance was taken yesterday but if it was I want to know if this will affect me in any way. You will have to register for one of the open sessions. The TAs should be able to accommodate. If you cannot attend any recitation sections, however, no other options are available. PM Recitation 1

Hi, My name is Neha Murthy and I was registered for section 6 recitation. However, a few minutes ago, I just saw that section 6 had to switch sections. Looking at the open spots, the only one that fit into my schedule was Section 2 Monday at 3:50-5:10pm and Section 4 Wednesday 3:50-5:10pm, however, Wednesday class is filled up. Due to changing sections, I wasn't able to attend the Section 2 recitation that I signed up for in the website the TA sent out as well as in Webreg. I wanted to know what I can do in order to still do the class material and not get penalized for not coming to recitation. I hope you understand. Thank you, Neha Murthy
