*Source:* NPR
*Author:* Alina Selyukh
*Date:* July 20, 2021
*Summary:* Low wages are the most common reason people cite for leaving food service work. But in one recent survey, more than half of hospitality workers who've quit said no amount of pay would get them to return. *Title:* Black Unemployment Matters Just as Much as White Unemployment
*Source:* The New York Times
*Author:* William E. Spriggs
*Date:* July 19, 2021
*Summary: *Many economists I know quietly think that the employment gap highlights the problem of longstanding strains in the Black community. *Title:* What Work-Life Balance Needs is Less Work, More Life
*Source:* The New York Times
*Author:* Bryce Covert
*Date:* July 20, 2021
*Summary:* In truth, the debate over the return to the office is fraught. Employers are used to being able to dictate when and where employees work, but we have now discovered that a lot of work can be done at odd hours between remote school lessons and from home offices or even the comfort of one’s bed.
