*Summary:* As part of the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Poor People’s Campaign, organizers are shedding light on the challenges faced by those who are most in need. We illustrated the progress made in reducing poverty since 1968 https://www.epi.org/publication/poverty-persists-50-years-after-the-poor-peoples-campaign-black-poverty-rates-are-more-than-twice-as-high-as-white-poverty-rates/, particularly among the elderly, and stressed that significant racial disparities remain.
