We'd like to include a short reading (~3-10 pages long) to promote a
healthy, non-obsessive relationship with food.
The reading would be in addition to the text (Sizer-Whitney's NUTRITION:
CONCEPTS & CONTROVERSIES, 10th ed) for our college Intro Nutrition course.
This could be a consumer-friendly review or overview, a scientific journal
article that touches the theme broadly, or perhaps a chapter in a book. We
want something that is credible and not terribly technical, but also not too
touchy-feely. We would use this at the beginning of the course to begin
allaying students' fears, worries, and obsessions about "eating RIGHT."
Of course we would request copyright permission and pay royalty fees.
Any suggestions: something you have written for a particular audience, or
something you have read? (We've tried various PubMed and Google Scholar
searches, but haven't found the right key words or articles yet.)
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
