Two Positions: Dietetic Internship Director and Undergraduate/Dietetic Program Director

Position #1 (Lecturer/Dietetic Internship Director -12 month position). Duties include: Directing the American Dietetic Association (ADA) Dietetic Internship program; teaching undergraduate/graduate nutrition courses; advising nutrition majors and dietetic interns; summer advising of incoming students; coordinating regular seminars; overseeing instruction at field sites; directing the internship admissions process; managing program budgets, administration and evaluation; serving as liaison to the ADA and the State Dietetic Association; writing and submitting annual reports, self-study documents, evaluation and progress reports; convening Advisory Committees; marketing and promoting programs; recruiting interns and identifying field sites; evaluating and monitoring program and intern accomplishments.
Position #2 (Lecturer/Dietetic Program and Undergraduate Program Director - 9 month position). Duties include: teaching undergraduate/graduate nutrition courses; serving as Undergraduate Program Director and chief undergraduate advisor to the Department and the UMass Nutrition Association; directing the American Dietetic Association (ADA) Accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics in accordance with the ADA's Standards of Education; participating in the Dietetics Advisory Board meetings; serving as Department of Nutrition liaison to ADA; writing and submitting annual reports, self-study documents, and progress reports; evaluating and monitoring program and student accomplishments.
Master's degree in Nutrition/Dietetics or closely related field, PhD preferred; Registered Dietitian certification and 3-5 years of professional experience; familiarity with program planning, implementation, administration, and evaluation required. Appointee must have excellent interpersonal skills and a strong demonstrated ability to teach and to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. On-line teaching experience desired, and ability to travel within the state necessary for Position #1.
