Responsibilities * Review manuscripts assigned to you to determine whether they are eligible for review. * Assign 2-3 reviewers for each eligible manuscript assigned to you; invite replacement reviewers as needed. Reviewers are drawn from a database, recommended by authors, or cited in references. * Write a decision letter based on reviewer input for each eligible manuscript. * Respond to author and reviewer queries in a timely manner. * Work with the Editor as needed for annual projects. Examples: recommend outstanding ad hoc reviewers for the JNEB Board of Editors, update and present the JNEB workshop for authors and reviewers, staff the JNEB exhibit at SNE Annual Conference. * Participate in phone conferences of JNEB staff for policy discussions. NWA is a high-impact non-profit, member organization that represents more than 2,000 service provider agencies that offer quality nutrition education, breastfeeding support, health care and other social referral services to women and young children in over 10,000 WIC clinics nationwide. The Development Manager is responsible for managing all grant fundraising activities within the National WIC Association (NWA). This includes managing relationships with existing funders, researching grant prospects and writing grant proposals to support both general operating and special projects at NWA. The Development Manager will work closely with all NWA staff to ensure that an efficient and effective fundraising strategy is developed and implemented. Drafts letters of interest, funding proposals, and reports. 6. Creates and maintains a tracking system for records on current, past, and prospective funders. 7. Strategizes with other team members within the organization to increase revenue streams, including membership and grassroots fundraising. 8. Identifies new opportunities for revenue and drives fundraising efficiencies 9. Coordinates grant timelines, deadlines, tracking deliverables, and grant reporting. 10. Manages and grows NWA's annual giving program for unrestricted gifts, including annual campaigns, donor communications, and online donation processes and tools. 11. Manages and expands NWA's listings on philanthropic information sites such as Guidestar, Charity Navigator, and others. Required Skills and Qualifications: * 5-10 years of fundraising experience. * Demonstrated success in identifying, cultivating, and growing support over multiple years, sourcing and securing six figure grants and sponsorships. * Experience tracking budgets, deliverables, and reporting for restricted grants. * Experience with donor research and tracking systems. * Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. * Strong project management skills and experience partnering across departments and teams to implement new strategies. * Insights into and expertise on the philanthropic and corporate landscape in the nutrition, public health and food policy space. * Proven network of development and grant relationships. Director of Accelerated Program in Nutrition and Dietetics at South Dakota State University

Director for Accelerated Graduate Program in Nutrition and Dietetics School of Health and Consumer Sciences South Dakota State University The School of Health and Consumer Sciences is inviting applications for a 12-month, non-faculty exempt position to direct and manage the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited bachelor’s to master’s graduate program in Nutrition and Dietetics M.S. (NDMS) at South Dakota State University (SDSU), to teach in the undergraduate and graduate nutrition and dietetics program, and engage in scholarly activity that enhances the profession. In compliance with ACEND, SDSU, and the South Dakota Board of Regents policies and procedures, the Director is responsible for development and implementation of procedures to effectively manage all components of the NDMS program to include the recruitment of supervised experiential sites, training preceptors, and placement of interns for supervised experiential learning experiences. The Director also ensures fair, equitable and considerate treatment of prospective and enrolled students (such as program admission, retention and completion policies). This position is responsible for student recruitment, advisement, evaluation and counseling to the graduate nutrition and dietetics program. The Director is also responsible for maintenance of program accreditation including: 1) timely submission of fees, reports and requests for major program changes; 2) maintenance of the program’s student records, including student advising plans, supervise experiential learning hours and verification statements; 3) maintenance of complaints about the program received from students or others, including disposition of the complaint; 4) on-going review of program’s curriculum to meet the accreditation standards; 5) communication and coordination with program faculty, preceptors and others involved with the program and it’s students; 6) facilitation of processes for continuous program evaluation; and 7) timely submission of required documentation supporting the graduate's eligibility for a Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credentialing exam. As a staff-member in the School of Health and Consumer Sciences, this individual will work collaboratively with other faculty to foster the mission of the school and college, which is to develop human potential for the purpose of enhancing individuals, family, school and community well-being. This position is supervised by the Director of the School of Health and Consumer Sciences with a start date of no later than June 22, 2022.
